IN-PERSON: The Callback

"They like you, they really like you!" This 6-week class with Casting Director Lisa Donadio will focus on callbacks, and the questions and tactics discussed will be helpful in any audition situation as well as in the rehearsal room.

This class might be for you if you:

  • Find yourself being called back more often, and want to make a great second impression.

  • Want to take the next step in your auditions, especially in this new and evolving audition world that has emerged from the pandemic.

In this class you will:

  • Work on material Lisa specifically picks for you.

  • Learn how to prepare material ahead of time but still remain flexible enough to take direction in the room.

  • Cover techniques for actively and effectively taking notes in the audition room and for working with the reader.

  • In your sixth class, have a one-on-one session with Lisa to debrief and keep your momentum going outside of the classroom.

By the end of this class you will:

  • Come away with the tools you need to audition more effectively, calmly, and confidently.

  • This class will be held at ARTNY Studios, located at 520 8th Avenue.

  • Our in-person classes are held at ARTNY Studios, located both in Midtown and in Brooklyn:

    Submitting and Sharing Pages
    Our in-person classes are fully digital for sharing and reading pages. All pages will be shared via a class Google Drive folder, and we will use devices in class to read each other’s pages. Please come to class with a device (laptop, tablet, etc) and a charger/power cord for your device. If you are unable to bring your own device, please contact ESPA Administration.
