ESPA COVID POLICY

Please note that this is the COVID policy for all in-person classes at ESPA. By registering, you are agreeing to this policy in its entirety.

We are excited to welcome ESPA students back to in-person learning! The safety of our students, faculty, and staff is our top priority. We will continue to monitor COVID-19 infection rates on a regular basis and adjust requirements as needed. Class sizes will be kept small to allow for less potential for exposure and to adequately provide personal space.  In order to maintain a safe environment, we are requiring all students and faculty to adhere to the following precautions:

VACCINATION

  • ESPA mandates that our students are fully vaccinated from COVID-19. Once enrolled in an in-person class, we require proof of vaccination (a picture of your vaccination card or a screenshot of your NYS Excelsior pass). The ESPA team will contact you for this upon registration.

  • This COVID-19 vaccination policy applies to all Primary Stages staff, instructors, and incoming/returning students.

MASKING & TESTING

  • Mask wearing in class and ART/NY common areas (lobby, bathroom, etc.) is not required at this time, but can be made mandatory at the discretion of ART/NY, Primary Stages, or City Guidelines. Students and faculty are encouraged to do whatever makes them most comfortable, and masks will be available at the beginning of each class if you would like one.

  • Rapid testing is not required at this time, but can be made mandatory by Primary Stages staff or the instructor at any point in the semester. If this change is made, Primary Stages will provide rapid tests to students.

OUTBREAKS

  • In the event of an escalated outbreak city or state-wide, an outbreak within the class, or if your instructor contracts COVID, we will move classes online for the necessary dates.

  • If you are experiencing COVID symptoms, you must not attend class. In the event that someone you've come into contact with during class falls ill, please let your WSP, Instructor, and Bri know as soon as possible. Classes will be promptly notified.

  • If any changes need to be made based on new circumstances or mandates, we will then send out all changes and updates to the ESPA community at large, via email. Please note you will be required to pay the full tuition in the case this class moves online or you drop the class.

Any individual who fails to comply with the above will not be allowed to continue class and will not be refunded for missed class.

Thank you for helping us keep our ESPA community safe!
