Michael Walkup is the Artistic Director of Page 73, a theater company producing playwrights’ first Off-Broadway premieres in New York City and developing the work of early-career playwrights who have yet to receive such productions (page73.org). Page 73’s recent productions include The Trees by Agnes Borinsky, La Race by Bleu Beckford-Burrell, Man Cave by John J. Caswell, Jr., STEW by Zora Howard (2021 Pulitzer Prize Finalist), and A Strange Loop by Michael R. Jackson (2020 Pulitzer Prize, 2022 Tony Award for Best Musical). Michael has been with Page 73 since 2011 and worked previously in new play development at Yale Repertory Theatre. He has been teaching at ESPA since 2016 and also teaches a course on New Play Dramaturgy at Fordham University. MFA in Dramaturgy, Yale School of Drama; BA in Theater Studies, Penn State University.
