C. Quintana, or CQ (she/any) is a queer writer with Cuban and Louisiana roots. CQ's dramedy pilot CAREER GAY was featured on the inaugural Out in Hollywood "Out Loud" List, her dystopian drama pilot INVISIBLE LILY was featured on the WeForShe "Ones to Watch" List, and she served as Staff Writer on ABC's THE BEAUTY. With plays produced across the country, including AZUL with its recent West Coast premiere at Diversionary Theatre in San Diego, CQ is the author of the full-length play SCISSORING (Dramatists Play Service) and THE HEART WANTS, a chapbook of poetry (Finishing Line Press). She is currently developing a project with Baobab Studios in collaboration with 3dar, an Audible Emerging Playwrights Fund commission, and a musical adaptation of Elizabeth Acevedo's BEASTGIRL & OTHER ORIGIN MYTHS with composer Janelle Lawrence premiering at the Kennedy Center Theater for Young Audiences this April 2022.
