Screenwriting

Instructor: Keith Bunin

(Screenwriter, HBO's "In Treatment", Upcoming Dr. Seuss biopic starring Johnny Depp)

Screenwriting is a specialized craft that requires its own set of dramatic writing principles. This 10-week class will cover structure, character development, genre, theme, dialogue, scene writing, and outlining specifically for this medium. As you learn to apply these elements to both original works and adaptations, you will spend much of the class time developing your own screenplay through writing exercises and discussion.  Geared toward writers of all experience levels, this class will provide a comprehensive foundation for storytelling on the silver screen.

Thursdays from 6:30pm – 9:30pm

June 7, 14, 21, 28, July 5, 12, 19, 26, August 2, 9
