"I audition hundreds of actors a year. More often than not, who they are in the room does not match who they are on paper. I want to pull them aside and give them tips about how to show their most excellent self. I put this class together with the hope of helping actors reflect who they are and put their best foot forward! This is going to be an illuminating, important step in your career and a lot of fun." — Michelle Bossy
Being an actor means being your own business. This new 5-week course will give actors the tools they need to build and refine their unique brand. Primary Stages Associate Artistic Director Michelle Bossy will help you critically self-examine what’s working (and not working) for you in your career, and identify obstacles that are impeding your ability to put your best foot forward. Alongside a host of guest instructors, including an agent, a casting director, and the Primary Stages Artistic Director and Marketing Director, Michelle will cover what makes a great headshot, resume, and reel; how to maintain a professional web presence; the best way to approach and meet casting directors and agents; how to define your type; and how to walk into any audition room looking great, fully prepared, and with the right material for you.
